Psychological tests have a very poor reputation in the eye of the public, often calling up terms such as 'horrific' and 'dehumanising'. The simple solution is to remove the human.

When you need to understand how a human will react in a certain situation, our emotional responders are perfect for the job. On arrival, they will be friendly and easy to talk to. Explain to them the experiment, along with the personality you need them to emulate, and begin testing. As soon as the test is underway, the synthetic will back up its core personality and load a blank one, applying your desired modifications, if any.

During the test, you can do anything you'd like to the synthetic. Bully or torture is perfectly acceptable.
